DTN COMMENTS: The country is quiet this morning and it is looking like the
bulk of business is essentially done for the week. Having said that, it is
possible that a little cleanup may take place in some areas. Asking prices
for cattle left on showlists are around $120 plus in the South, and $198
plus in the North. Beef cutouts are expected to be higher with light to
moderate box movement.

So far this week Northern dress trade has been at $194 to $202, mostly $195,
$3 lower than last week's weighted average basis Nebraska. Southern live
deals have been marked at $117 to $119, mostly $119, roughly $1 lower than
last week's weighted averages.
