LAST WEEK'S ROUND UP:  Southern live trade started out on 
Wednesday with live deals marked at $100 to $102, mostly 
$101, generally $2 higher than the prior week's weighted 
averages, another round of light business also developed on 
Thursday with prices steady with the day before. Late 
Thursday afternoon some very light trade took place in parts 
of Nebraska with dressed deals marked at mostly $160 to $162, 
roughly $2 to $4 higher than the prior week's weighted 
average (some were set for delayed delivery). Other light 
trade was also reported in the North on Friday at generally 
steady money with Thursday. According to the Friday afternoon 
Mandatory reports weekly trade volumes were as follows: KS 
15,179; NE 27,345; TX 3,841; CO 3,884; IA 17,195. 

DTN MORNING COMMENTS:  The country is typically quiet this 
Monday morning with bids and asking prices not established as 
of yet. Significant trade volume will likely be delayed until 
the second half of the week. Beef cutouts are expected to be 
lower with generally light box movement. 

For the week ending September 14, 2019, Imported Beef Passed 
for Entry in the U.S. totaled 37,740, 116.80% of the previous 
week and 102.96% of the prior 4-week average.
